one question. sort of.

This one thought drives me crazy. I think about it from time to time. Like last night. I just stared at my ceiling till midnight trying to decide, YES or NO. My question is: Give or Keep?

The first kiss, my friend. Yes, yes. You heard me right. The first kiss.

I have no boyfriend and I don't think I want one until after high school...but I don't know what's going to happen between now and then. If for some reason some random guy is going to pop out and say, "I WANT TO KISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!" What do I do? Seriously, people. :) THIS IS SERIOUS!

I've got boundaries. Nothing past kissing until marriage, my friends. Just putting that out there in words. BOOM! I don't want to give myself away so easily to any guy, you know? Though back to the...uh...you know. Kissing part. I've heard many different preferences and they're all over the place. Like, "Go ahead and kiss a guy. It's just a stinking kiss." Or other people are like, "SAVE IT! SSSSAAAAVVVVEE IIIIITTTTT!!!!!"

And I just don't know what to do. If I should, save the first kiss for the engagement day or wedding day, or just kiss the guy. I dunno.

So, what do you think? Keep it or give it? And if you're married, did you save your first kiss or did you give it away?

Okay. You gotta tell me. It's killing me. And do you want me to die? I hope not. Because I don't feel like dying today. Or for a really, very, long, loooong time. Amen.

  1. My husband kissed while we were dating..but I'll admit, we waited a while. I think there's something so cool about someday being able to tell my kids about my first kiss and when they ask who it was being able to point to the other side of the room to their totally hott dad =)

But, I'll also admit that the idea of kissing for the first time and then experiencing the bow chic wow wow of marriage joys in the same day pretty much freaked me out!

Just my opinion. It is a unique piece of yourself so I wouldn't treat it lightly, but I also don't think it's going to make or break your future relationship =)

  2. I gave mine away and now really wish I hadn't! I had really had no idea if the guy I was dating at the time would one day be my husband, which he turned out not to be at all! I won't be kissing a guy again until I'm certain that man will one day be my future husband. Yes, it's only a kiss. But it's a special thing I think. Like Megan said - it won't make or break a relationship (I'm sure the fact that I have already kissed a guy won't make my future husband any less in love with me) but I still think saving it is a super special thing to do :)

    1. I like how you said Emma it i could't say it better. so i agree. Keep it till you know he is the one. It is a lot harder to brake up with some one you have kissed.

  3. Emma....
There are a lot of things that one can do that one can't take back. We all do things that later in life we wish we hadn't. Things that you share with your future husband are things you want just for him...it will mean so much later in life.
Keep. Keep until you know either he will be the one in your life forever...or the day you say "I do". I promise the wait will be worth it and the shared moment between the two of you will be something that will mean the world. Something you can say is just between you and that wonderful guy. Don't let some guy talk you into it and say.."its just a kiss..." maybe to him...but not to you and one day your husband will appreciate the fact that he has been the only one to touch your lips.
    Keep.
