tree time

This morning I set up my mini Christmas tree in my room. I brought out my mini Christmas ornaments I bought from Michael's last year and looped some white Christmas lights around the plastic branches. I named her Amelia, by the way. I have this thing for naming trees. In my living room, we've got "Nobe" - a Noble. I tried to convince my mom to get Doug (a Douglas Fir) at the Christmas tree lot, but it didn't work out. :( So we ended up with Nobe. haha

Anybody seen the movie Elf? Oh man, BEST. CHRISTMAS. MOVIE. EVER. I love it so much! Though I still watch it year-round (heh heh). I used to watch it a lot with my dad. I think we should do that again. Anyway, I watched it last week with my brother and a few of his friends and it was awesome!! What's your favorite part of the movie? I guess mine would have to be when he's leaving a note and says, "I'm sorry I ruined your life and that I shoved eleven cookies into the VCR." ahhhhh!!! Amazing. My brother's friend and I cracked up every time we quoted it. So funny... :)

I made a few of my own snowflakes. You like? :) I decided that if it wasn't going to snow here (I live in southern California) I would make my own. So I did. Yay! Isn't this is what creativity is all about? haha :)

Thanksgiving is coming this week. WHAT?

I know, it's turkey time.

It seems like the 4th of July was yesterday... :)

Already I see Santa Claus everywhere.

Christmas music is already blasting at the grocery store.

I can't believe it's almost Christmas!! BAHHH!! :)

One thing I love about Christmas is the lights. I love to drive around at night and look at everyone's houses decked out with the (as my youth group pastor would say...) "illumination."

My mom's already playing Christmas music at my house. haha She usually starts turning it on around Halloween and then finally turns it off once Christmas is over.

Ooooooh, and hot chocolate is the BEST around this cold season!!

I get mine real chocolate-y and then load it up with a mound of marshmellows.

Winter fashion is AWESOME! I love wearing sweaters like the one above around this time. Although, I haven't been able to get one YET.

That's what I love about Christmas.

the clothes...

but I also love that it's Jesus' birthday.
